Bottle Rocket, a longtime Castleberry Hill bar and restaurant known for its sushi, burgers, and cocktails, is pulling up stakes this fall after more than a decade and relocating to Mitchell Street, a half mile away, in South Downtown.

 

Beloved AUC restaurants have come and gone over the years, with new establishments bringing fresh dining and drinking options for students and community residents to enjoy.

If ever there was an eclectic gathering, it was the “Cheers” gang, with young, old, educated and uneducated, snooty, and boorish. But somehow this group always had each other’s back.

Local sushi tavern Bottle Rocket relocating to historic Hotel Row. Bottle Rocket will join a lineup of existing and upcoming restaurants on Mitchell Street, also known as "Hotel Row," in South Downtown.

If you’ve seen the documentary “Jiro Dreams of Sushi,” then you know making sushi is like creating works of art. It’s a craft that some people work their whole lives perfecting.

 

A totally re-conceptualized version of Wasabi, Bottle Rocket hasn't abandoned sushi, but has expanded the menu to include non-raw meals and surprisingly affordable wine & cocktails.

Castleberry Hill, a hip and trendy neighborhood is home to an eclectic mix of musicians, creatives, and young families, and often sees its restaurants hosting Falcons, Hawks, and Atlanta United soccer fans on game days.
